Dozens of clones sprang up from the earth, and Moptop and Ellynnorr, the only un-cloned originals that remained, were surrounded. Three copies of Cajun Mother approached. Moptop fled in horror.

In a desert canyon, a camper approached Ellynnorr and Moptop, and she handed him a copy of their new CD.
"Is it any good?" he asked.
"Yes," replied an annoyed Moptop.
The man looked down at the CD cover, which depicted an exploding red orb. The band's name was "Ughanhu & the Collective Palace."

Moptop dove into a fountain, looking behind his shoulder nervously when he floated back to the water's surface. The tranquility of the area was quickly shattered as a shark with wheels raced toward him.

Windtree/Fun
Moptop, Cajun Mother, and Nole hiked across the meadows and through the forest, stopping to marvel at a large cave and mass of trees that roughly resembled the head of a bird. There were several of these strange structures--which seemingly occurred naturally--but one rose higher and larger than the rest. An aura of fear seemed to resonate from within. Cajun Mother stepped forward to investigate, but Moptop stopped her.
Nole pulled out a camera and began snapping photographs, but when Moptop looked through them, it became apparent that the photos were taken from angles which obscured the large "beak" of the trees that surrounded the cave.
"What were you thinking?" exclaimed Moptop, who grabbed the camera and began taking his own pictures.
Later, at their house, Moptop looked out the rear window and saw that the violent winds had taken a toll on the tree outside . . . instead of forming into the usual, spherical shape, the top of the tree now resembled a sideways teardrop, with many of the leaves charred and dead. Windburn, as it were.
Moptop retrieved the camera and prepared to take a photo of the damage, but, through the lens, he saw a body falling from the sky. Alarmed, Moptop looked up.
The body was Jack, who was quite alive and bouncing on a trampoline.

First Congreterian
The church was both alien and familiar, filled with pillars and sculptures of intricately-carved, dark wood. The altar--and even the walls themselves--were also adorned with the wood and gold "leaf." Though beautiful, the effect was also overwhelming, and all who entered the chapel felt as though the walls were closing in around them.
In the basement, which consisted of more traditional architecture, the choir was nearly ready to leave and sing the introit. Moptop ran into the room, out-of-breath and about an hour late.
"I'm so sorry! I forgot it was Christmas."
The other singers looked at him with disappointment. Moptop pulled on his robe, fumbled with his music folder, and joined in the march. Arriving and filing into the loft, the choir collectively pulled out their music and began singing, "Jesus, help us out. . . ."
At the end of the service, as the choir dissipated into the narthex, Moptop followed silently behind a bespectacled monk, who produced a key and entered a small door, which blended in perfectly with the wood and gold relief.
The inside of the room was much, much larger than Moptop had anticipated, and it was high in the air, overlooking the entire nave. The floor was steeply slanted, so Moptop had to brace himself to avoid tumbling over the edge, and the walls and floor were completely covered in ornate, earth-colored paintings. Even more surprisingly, this space was completely silent.
"What is this place?" Moptop asked the monk telepathically.
"You should not be here," replied the monk in kind. "This is the secret room. The room of good and evil."

Mall Chasse
"Move! Move!"
Atticus Jones ran through the crowded passageway, shoving people out of his way as needed. His quarry was shielded by a supernatural cloaking, but the shadows moving along the wall betrayed this invisibility.
The shadows slipped around a corner, around which Atticus himself skidded, coming face-to-face with an intricate maze of pipes and machinery. Carefully maneuvering around the obstacles, Atticus suddenly had a vision of his adversary, gazing down at all the passersby in anticipation of the release of the serum. Atticus knew that, if this happened, everyone in the mall would become a ravenous monster.
"I know you think you can see me," whispered the dark man. "But you're too late!"
Atticus drew his gun and fired several shots toward the dark man . . . or where the dark man would be in the future. Several people screamed. The shadows continued running toward the control room.
"Hey man, what's the big idea!?" shouted a man at the pretzel bakery.
"Out of my way or you're a dead man!" shouted Atticus in response.
Atticus' legs began to give out beneath him from the strain of running. The dark man arrived at his perch and released the serum.
Though invisible, the serum's effects did not take long to manifest. Several people outside the bookstore began to lurch, their bodies draining of color and their eyes dilating until they were entirely black. A trio of the infected lunged toward Atticus. The fatigued detective tried his best to fight them off, successfully pushing one off the railing, but another rushed in to take his place and latched onto Atticus' neck with his sharp teeth.
Screaming as he became aware of his very likely doom, Atticus transformed into Moptop.
Moptop pushed forward, fueled by rage, toward the dark man. . . .
